Introducing the Antique Diamond Over-the-Calf Socks from the Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
The inspiration for this design came from antique diamonds of an earlier era.
Antique diamonds have a soft, warm glow, reminiscent of candlelight. I wanted to express that subtle sense of flickering light through the pattern and colors of these socks.
Small diamond-inspired motifs are arranged against a herringbone-like knit background with subtle irregularities. This gently shifting background gives the motifs a sense of movement, creating the nostalgic character of antique jewelry.
The black version takes on a more classic look.
A combination of dark brown and lavender.
Elegant shades of blue with a subtle richness.
For the colors, I chose nuanced tones with depth and warmth rather than vividness. The pattern shifts subtly with the light, revealing a classic yet richly expressive character.
The socks are knit from fine 80/2 cotton yarn sourced from Italy. With its subtle mélange character and finely textured surface, the yarn is singed to remove excess fibers and then mercerized, giving it a smooth feel and beautiful silk-like luster.
Inspired by jewelry from another era, the diamond motifs, delicate knit pattern, and warm, nuanced colors come together in a pair that feels nostalgic, yet sits naturally within a contemporary wardrobe.
