Il Regalo × outBespoken Collaboration for Fall/Winter 2026

A Quiet Richness

Autumn and winter bring a different pleasure to dressing, one found in the richness of color and texture.

Tweed, flannel, soft wool, suede, and leather. Even within a restrained palette, the character of each material adds depth to an outfit.

For our latest collaboration with outBespoken, we wanted to create socks that would sit naturally within this autumn and winter wardrobe.

Warm, earthy shades of brown and olive. The dry, matte character of wool and linen, the subtle complexity of mélange wool, and the soft, full texture of fine merino. Each has its own distinct quality, brought to life through delicate knit patterns.

At first glance, everything feels calm and understated. Look more closely, and the textures, intricate patterns, and subtle layers of color begin to reveal themselves.

A richness that comes not from extravagance, but from quiet detail.

Together with outBespoken, whose distinctive sense of color and texture brings an unexpected touch to classic style, we created three pairs of socks for the changing seasons from autumn into winter.

Wool & Linen Herringbone Over-the-Calf Socks

For this collaboration with outBespoken, we wanted to explore autumn and winter materials in a slightly unexpected way.

Wool and linen are a combination sometimes found in suiting and jacket fabrics, but rarely in socks. Linen is usually associated with spring and summer, yet we were intrigued by what its dry texture and distinctive crispness could bring when paired with the softness and warmth of wool. That idea became the starting point for this herringbone design.

Soft dark brown wool forms the base, while the herringbone pattern is knit in mocha brown linen. The warmth and fullness of the wool meet the dry, crisp character of linen, creating a distinctive texture reminiscent of tweed.

The palette is deliberately limited to different shades of brown. Keeping the colors close allows the contrast between the two materials to emerge naturally, while giving the fine herringbone pattern a rich sense of depth.

Paired with medium brown trousers and loafers.
Variations in tone and texture bring a natural sense of depth to the look.

Warm tones are layered throughout in a combination that feels distinctly outBespoken.

A styling built around gentle earth tones.
Within its quiet appearance, the colors seem to subtly resonate with one another.

Wool Paisley Over-the-Calf Socks

Paisley has long been part of Il Regalo, but this time we wanted to express it not through contrasting colors, but through the character of the material itself.

We chose a soft and warm Super Extra Fine Wool mélange yarn. Within the deep olive yarn, many different colors are intricately blended together, giving it a richness that a solid-colored yarn could not achieve.

Against this complex mélange, the paisley is created entirely through a subtle relief knit. Rather than making the pattern overtly prominent, we wanted it to emerge through light and shadow from the soft texture of the wool.

From a distance, it appears as a calm, deep olive. Up close, the delicate colors within the mélange and the shadows of the paisley begin to reveal themselves. It is a pair that changes in character depending on how closely you look.

Paired with dark green trousers and brown tassel loafers with warm red undertones.
Against these subdued colors, the shadows of the paisley quietly emerge.

A playful combination in which color and pattern subtly speak to one another.

Classic in spirit, yet the interplay of color and pattern gives the look a distinctly outBespoken character.

Glen Check Over-the-Calf Socks

We interpreted the classic Glen Check through a delicate knit pattern and softly nuanced colors.

The fine checks are built around warm shades of dark brown. Rather than using strong contrast, closely related tones are layered together, giving this traditional pattern a softer, gentler character.

Another defining feature of these socks is the wool itself. We chose a rare Uruguayan merino with fibers measuring just 15.5 microns. Delicately soft to the touch yet full and resilient, it has a distinctive feel that comes from this exceptional wool.

The fine Glen Check, warm nuanced colors, and soft texture of the wool come together in a pair that feels classic, yet gentle and inviting.

Small variations in color and pattern bring richness to a closely toned palette.

Understated at first glance, yet the differences in color and texture quietly reveal themselves.

The Role of Accessories

One of the elements that makes outBespoken’s styling so distinctive is his use of accessories.

Ties, pocket squares, braces. Every time I see a photograph of the accessories he has chosen, I find it genuinely exciting. His unexpected combinations of color, pattern, and texture never fail to inspire me.

Each piece may differ in color, pattern, and material, yet there is always something that subtly connects them, bringing the entire look together. That same sensibility can be seen throughout these three styles.

Olive green braces, a mustard-based paisley pocket square, and a soft beige tie with a tweed-like texture.
The earth tones within each piece echo one another, allowing different patterns and textures to come together naturally.

A brown-based paisley pocket square with touches of orange, blue, and olive, paired with warm orange-toned braces.
Including the olive of the socks, the colors subtly respond to one another, creating a combination with a playful spirit.

A textured burgundy tie, a deep purple pocket square, and pale pink herringbone braces.
Rather than repeating the same color, the palette gradually shifts from brown to burgundy, purple, and pink. These subtle transitions bring richness to an otherwise restrained look.

An unexpected combination of wool and linen, paisley shadows emerging from melange wool, and delicate Glen check paired with exceptional Merino wool.
These three pairs of socks each take a different approach, adding a rich touch to autumn and winter outfits.
Through outBespoken’s styling, I am reminded once again that even subdued colors and classic patterns can take on such a fresh look, depending on the combination of materials and colors.
Understated, yet possessing a richness that becomes apparent the more closely you observe the details.
We hope you enjoy these autumn/winter styles with these three pairs of socks.
